A Community's Vision. Fifty Years of History. One Special Day.
In 1975, a group of local families shared a vision: to create an independent school that would provide young people with an outstanding education while remaining deeply connected to the Macedon Ranges community.
From that vision, Braemar College was born.
Fifty years later, we invite our community to come together to celebrate this remarkable milestone.
On Saturday 19 September 2026, from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm, Braemar College will open its doors for a special day of celebration, reflection and connection. Whether you are an Old Collegian, former staff member, past or current family, friend of the College, or a member of the wider community, we warmly invite you to join us.
A Day to Remember
The celebrations will be centred at our Woodend Campus, 241 Romsey Road, Woodend, where guests can enjoy a relaxed and memorable day celebrating five decades of Braemar College.
Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to:
Explore Both Campuses
A complimentary shuttle bus service will operate every 45 minutes between the Woodend and Mount Macedon campuses throughout the day.
Guests are warmly encouraged to visit our historic Mount Macedon Campus, where our College Leaders will be available to welcome visitors, share stories and guide families and supporters around this special part of Braemar's history.
To ensure the day runs smoothly and to be respectful of our neighbours, we kindly ask visitors not to drive directly to the Mount Macedon Campus. Parking at Mount Macedon is not available, and the shuttle service will provide a convenient way to experience both campuses.
Honouring Our Past. Celebrating Our Future
Braemar College has grown from an ambitious community initiative into a thriving two-campus school educating students from Years 5 to 12. While much has changed over the past fifty years, the College remains true to the vision of its founders: to provide an exceptional education that develops capable, confident and compassionate young people.
Our 50th Anniversary is a celebration of the people who have shaped Braemar over five decades — the students, families, staff, Old Collegians and supporters who have contributed to the College story.
Together, we will honour our history, celebrate our community and look forward to the next fifty years of Braemar College.
To help us prepare for the day, we encourage guests to register their attendance. Registration is free and assists us in understanding how many people are planning to visit throughout the day.
